Sunday night the 31st of May, we received a Gold Award for the Spinhex&Industrie calendar! The award was handed out during the fourth edition of the European Design Awards, this year in Rotterdam.

To celebrate the persian new year Nowruz, on the 21st of March, we created two lifesize illustrations. The banners of 100x210cm are printed in black and white and colored by hand.

Dabireh is a Collective of young Iranian graphic designers who share a passion for calligraphy and typography and have a keen interest in the history and theories of Persian language and writing system. Recognizing the absence of a comprehensive body of critical writings and professional commentary, Dabireh is a periodical that aims to be a credible source of articles, interviews and research-based projects which address the less explored territories connecting the vast historical sources and the inspired diverse practices of contemporary designers today. Each year, a different agency is asked to design the Spinhex promotional calendar. Designers like Thonik, Beng, HKU and Clever vs De Graaff have each made their mark in the past. This year, Spinhex selected OrientationLab. We cannot give away much yet, but let's just say each month will bear many gifts! The calendar will also be available for sale through our online shop.
